Re: Frenchie Poll

Most of the time they are in a crate, if not then they are harnessed and belted in.

Doggie seat with clip in to harness. Front seat. Yesterday after a frenchie playdate!

What car seat are you using? Radar has outgrown his bucket, hang over the seat booster and I need to find a replacement. He's 30 pounds so the tiny versions won't work.

Re: Frenchie Poll

Lulu is 14 lbs now at 5.5 mos. It is from the site "in the company of dogs". It came in mult sizes and gray or tan. I put the blanket in it to boost her more since it's square and she likes to hang her head over the edge. I love it!

Sometimes.... I am a BAD Momma and let him ride on the passenger seat or lay on the floor

I've tried in a booster seat in the back seat, booster seat in the front, on the seat, on the floor, every which way to see if one is better to help with car sickness and nope. He gets sick no matter where he sits so he is in his booster seat again in the back seat next to the window.

My dog hates the car...shakes horribly and pants do badly that I fear he will have a heart attack. I've tried using his crate, rode with him in the back, hold him in the front, nothing works. Have tried short trips for fun and they aren't fun.

You have the same "car seats" that I have for my two!! :)

Have you tried on an empty stomach? In other words, is he eating shortly before car rides?

They each have a "car seat", or booster seat they are belted into. Sometimes, if I don't have the car seats in there, they will be buckled into the back seat with a bridge or hammock, so they don't freak out from the cavern that is the foot well! :)

This is the first time I have ever thought of buckling in my dogs. Our Boxer, Candy, used to have an entire Excursion to herself (well, the 2nd and 3rd row seats anyway), and would use them and move from one to the other and was not buckled in. What on EARTH were we thinking!! :(

I know, I know.... but look how freakin cute!

Awww, I know, I know!! :) When I only had Leo, he would ride in the front seat, but I would still buckle him in! :) I wish they both would fit in the front seat together, but I don't think they would be very comfortable. :)
I do have a "coupler" where I can belt them into one seatbelt buckle. :)

that is what I normally do... seatbelt him in, but in the back

I've tried it all! I never take him in the car right after he eats. He will still throw up HOURS later. He usually won't throw up if it's a very short ride but he still drools and trembles. He hates the car.

erm depends where we are going and who else is in the car . So all of them :ashamed: Long journeys crated in the back. Medium journeys with just me driving all seatbelted. Short journeys they lounge on the backseat and Penny goes in her small pet carrier because she has taken to perching like a parrot on my shoulder!!!! Short journeys when all carseats taken on laps or car floor.

Buster and Ruggles ride crated which is fine with Ruggles, but Buster really likes to look out the window.
