Hello All!

This is my first Frenchie and we adore her but are concerned about yellow, crusty bumps on her skin causing hair loss. We are taking her in tomorrow to talk to vet. She is 13 weeks. Last check up she had no parasites, healthy overall. She eats Kirklands Premium Puppy Food. Her breeder had her on same. I'm assuming its a mite or food allergy. Has anyone had this with their puppy? It could be mange or a low level staph infection which is common in puppies since they have a lower immune system. Something similar happened to my bulldog when he was younger and the vet gave him some antibiotics for a few days and then it was gone and never came back. Definitely have a vet look at it and possibly do a skin scraping.

Might want to try another dog food without chicken, just in case she has a chicken allergy. If you want to stick with dry dog food, Earthborne Holistic is a good source of allergy free dog food.

Welcome to FBN!

Agree with the gang... get a better food and add a probiotic
