Hey everyone,

:hiii:

I am Lucy.
I am so happy to have found such a great french bulldog forum.
I have loved the breed for a very long time now, and am very excited to be picking up my first french bulldog in six weeks time.
I would really love to hear about all your beautiful frenchies, and any advice about puppy preparation would be very much appreciated

Congrats on your new baby and :welcome3: to FBN!

Welcome Lucy! What a precious baby!

Good food is very important, but find out what your breeder will be feeding as you will want some of that food. Then you can transition to your food of choice.

Safe chew toys is also important. Plenty of those!

Good hypo allergenic shampoo, kong zoom groom, stainless or ceramic bowls, collar or harness, leash, bed, crate... That's all I can think of at the moment.

Congratulations and :smileywelcome: to FBN[ Your baby is adorable!/SIZE]

So adorable and sooooo exciting. Are you getting a male or female? Make sure and keep your phone or a camera handy and take lots of pictures/videos. It's so fun to look back when they were little because they grow so fast. Your baby will make you laugh and laugh. They are clowns. Congratulations and :welcome:

Thank you Lisa! What brand of shampoo do you reccommend, and what kind of harness do you use - I have been hunting for one for a while now :)

Thank you Alice :)

Thank you Laura. I am getting a female. I can absolutely not wait, they are definitely the cutest goof balls out :)

Thank you Christine :)

Regarding a harness, they grow really fast so nothing too expensive will she is a puppy. I have a puppia harness I use when we go to the beach and a buddy belt the rest of the time. I think the buddy belt is the easiest to put on Radar and looks cool. He didn't like the harness that had the front loop because he was too chesty and it rubbed him raw. Basically, whatever fits your girl.

:welcome: to the site and your pup is just too cute. Also no rawhides, pig ears, or bully sticks for them either. We feed our pups FROMM puppy gold in the pink bag until about 6 or 7 months of age then we switch them to FROMM 4 star grain free food. Nylabones are good chew toys too.

Thank you I will keep it in mind :)

Thank you David, I didn't realise they couldn't have those foods, so that is very helpful :)
