I have a 15 week old male frenchie Eric and I’m looking into getting a second one I have found another male frenchie pup that’s 17 weeks old.

Would it be to soon for Eric to have another friend around the house? He’s very socialised and he gets on very well with other dogs/frenchies I have three in the family and he gets on very well with them however Eric and the other male frenchie that my in laws own they get on very well but they play/fight constantly for hours and don’t stop and wouldn’t want Eric to do this all the time.

Would having two males cause issues?

Opinions please?:)

We almost always have 2 males, but have had a bigger age gap--like 2 to 6 years. The one time we got 2 boys from the same litter we started having behavior problems at 3 yrs. old. Frenchies do love to play, and play rough. The female Frenchie Buster plays with here plays as rough as any male I've seen!

Congratulations!

Frenchie will play till they drop.... just their nature. We have two males and ensure they know we are alpha so there isn't any issue.... two of the same gender can be more work because sometimes one will always want to be alpha and the other is not willing to let it happen.
