I don't have pet insurance for mine but I know many members here DO and recommend it. Brands like Fromm, Acana (Limited Ingredient Singles), Orijen are widely considered good ones to look at. Some dehydrated and/or frozen raw products like Stella and Chewys, Primal, and Answers you can find in higher end pet supply stores as well. Mainly you'd want to stay away from anything containing fillers, by-products, and preservatives like BHA and BHT. Take the time to check the back of the bag of the food you are interested in. You'll most likely be better off in the long run spending a bit more on a quality food now, than having to repeatedly take the dog into the vet to combat diet and skin issues related to the food. Welcome :)

Nope. I have a 2 year old Frenchie and an 8 year old Boxer. I have always had Boxers and Pugs. This is the first Frenchie I've ever had and she is the most challenging dog I've ever had as well! But she's a big cuddler and has a fun personality :)

I do have pet insurance and it has been well worth it for me as Jax has IVDD and has had three surgeries so far plus MRI’s plus acupuncture and laser therapy. The cost is well over $22,000 and I’ve been reimbursed 90%. Some people will just set aside a credit card for pet expenses or put money into savings each month.

From a reputable French Bulldog breeder?

Yes I checked her face book page going back five years . I question a few that have gotten her puppies. Yeah seems legit . No puppy issues . Reasonable priced . She is good 9 hour drive from me so I can’t go see the puppy but I trust she is a good breeder

Found out through some tough questions and unanswered questions she wasn’t reputable as I thought. SMH

A good way to find a reputable breeder would be to go to a local dog show, kennel club or French bulldog club in your area. And it’s good you found out now before you brought one home.

I do have pet insurance and I highly recommend to any Frenchie mom or dad. It has come in very handy several times.
As far as food, I use Acana Single and my Lola is thriving. It comes in several different single protein formulas so if your furbaby gets boaard or has a reaction to it you know what’s causing reaction. Only one protein and one vegetable. I also recommend using a probiotic,

We feed FROMM, and have never had insurance for them, and at the moment, we have 5 of them.

I'm glad to hear you are doing your research. Frenchies are very popular and there are sadly many backyard breeders and puppy mills. I would go to a dog show or a French bulldog club and talk to some breeders.
