I'm so sorry that I am asking so many questions but you guys are the pros and I greatly appreciate your advice!

So Rico has been started on diamond naturals from the breeder. After a lot of consideration and reading through a lot of posts here—I decided to ultimately put him on Fromm.

First two days home he wasn't a huge eater and the vet said to me make sure he's eating good. He weighs 4 1/2 lbs at 8 weeks.

Here's the thing. I was playing with him yesterday and decided to give him a few pieces of the Fromm as a treat.... HE LOVED IT!

So I took a handful thinking maybe he will eat this better than he eats the diamond natural... Sure enough he gobbled it up like a champ!

So I tried again with a handful of the diamond natural... Barely touched it.

Is it SOOOOO bad to immediately do a mix of 3/4 Fromm to 1/4 Diamond Natural and get him off the diamond sooner than later?

You could stop the Diamond and use bland diet for a few days, mixing in From and then when bland is gone he is on the Fromm.... it really messes with the belly and you could get explosive :poo: if you switch so suddenly

Ok awesome. Thank you.

I have switched before with no issues.... i did half and half for a few days then cut back to 1/4 old stuff.... then no old stuff and all new

Fromm is great food!!! Good choice

Radar became intolerant of the food the breeder had him on so I had to do an immediate switch, I couldn't get him to keep it down other wise. Adding canned pumpkin helped with the sudden transition and he was much better off on the new food than if I had followed the slow transition method.

I would do a slow transition and you should be fine. or the bland and slowly add in the FROMM.
