Hello from Alaska

Hello! We are anxiously waiting to go pick up our new Frenchie "baby boy" on Feb 15! He will be 8 weeks old. We don't have a name picked out yet... We LOVE the French Bulldog breed. Before we owned our first French Bulldog, we had an American Bulldog for 9 years.

Our first Frenchie, Tikka passed away in July of 2015. She was unable to use her back legs due to IVD right after her 2nd birthday. We tried conservative treatment for almost 6 month and even got her a wheel chair for her to move around. But after several other complications we just could not watch her suffer anymore and had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives

We are looking forward to having another fur-baby in our home again!!!

When do you pick up Baby boy? What color is he?

I have been to Alaska a few times... it's so beautiful there!

Thank you... it was the most horrible thing I've gone through.

We pick him up on Feb 15 and he is black/bridle and white... He is going to be a surprise for our daughters (9 and 6). A day late Valentine's day present. We live on an Island and we couldn't coordinate flights/ferry to the breeder by or before V-day

They are going to be thrilled, our girls have been asking for another puppy/dog... it's been really quiet around our house without a four legged family member around

Poor Tikka. So hard watching them suffer..... I'm sure your new baby will be a welcome new addition, and the kids will love having a puppy! Can't wait for the pictures!!

I am deeply sorry about Tikka. It breaks my heart to hear it.

If the pic on the right is your new frenchie, the name "Oreo" might fit him well since he looks like an oreo cookie. lol

We picked up our puppy a week ago today and have decided on the name Bentley :loveeyes: Our girls were very surprised. Our 6 year old was in disbelief... she asked how long we were going to watch this "thing" for?? Told her how about forever and her response was: "for real?!?!" It was priceless :clap:

He is super sweet and doing great!!!

He's doing really good... it took him a few days to get used to us. He was so shy would hardly look at us and very mellow. By Thursday, he's is acting like a normal little puppy. He had runny poo with a some blood in it so we took him to the Vet on Friday... They tested him for Parvo and a fecal check. He had a little bacteria infection in his gut and he got meds. Vet said it was probably stress induced. He was wormed, got shots, picked up by us from the breeder, drove around for a few hours then got on a plane to go home all in one day. That was a lot for him!!! He's good now though

Thank you so much for asking. I can't get enough of him... his personality is so sweet. I took last week off work to stay with him and get him adjusted to his new home. It was hard for me to go back to work today!!!
