Hello everyone,
My name is Mark, but I'm called MrHub by a lot of people. We adopted our first French Bulldog last October. His full name is King Kona Kamehameha of Foxcroft, but we just call him Kona, like the coffee.
We had a black Pug ( Mister) for 10 years who was our heart and soul, but he passed away 2 years ago last Sept. It hurt for a very long time, and truthfully at times it still does, he meant everything to me.
Well we went for a while without a pet, got some free time in not having to worry about being home at any perticular time, or who was going to watch the pup while we went to Disney World (we are big Disney addicts) but finally decided last June to get a new fur buddy. Well we didn't want to really get another Pug because I didn't want to feel like I was replacing Mister, and I had always loved the Frenchies, so we started looking around for one. Man is that a job!
Mister adopted us really, my wife found him running down the road at 8 months and no one ever claimed him, so we kept him.
Kona was a much more involved process. After reading the good, the bad & the ugly all over the Internet of who to and not to buy from, we ended up buying from a breeder in Bayone, NJ. We are very happy we did. Kona is everything they said and more. We also did a first and got the health insuRance for him and that was a plus also being it pays back 80% of everything and covers everything, with just a $250 deductible.
Well here is Kona and hope to have a fun time on the forum and look forward to hearing all about your Frenchies.
