My 4 month old Frenchie Duke is a ball of excitement.

He is a great dog but his first instinct when I reach to pet him is to want to bite my hand. I know this is terrible and I need to get him out of this behavior ASAP.

ANyone have experience with this behavior? Any suggestions on what to do to break him of this?

Thanks in advance

A firm NO BITE usually works. If in the excitement he does nip you, squeal, fake cry like you are really hurt. All the pup wants to do is play not hurt you. He will take notice and hopefully quit trying to bite!

A firm "no bite" has worked for both of our frenchies. With Banksy (our male) took longer than Aiko (our female). Also when you say no bite it helps to give them something they can bite instead like a chew toy ☺ just be consistent and it will work I promise!

He's just teething and it will eventually stop.
