Hi! My name is Charlotte. I'm from Toronto, Ontario (Canada). I have a 6 year old Great Dane named Zack. I work as a dog daycare attendant and a pet photographer. Since starting my job as a doggy daycare attendant, I've fallen for Frenchies. There's not a Frenchie at my job that I don't like. Danes are my heart breed, but I know now that I definitely want a Frenchie in my life one day. I joined this forum because I've always found them to be the best sources of information. I was an active member of a Toronto Pug forum when I was a teenager (my family dogs are pugs), and for the first few years of my Dane's life I was an active member of a large Great Dane forum.
I've sent an email to Last Chance Rescue in hopes of being accepted as a foster home. I've fostered cats and litters of kittens before, and have always wanted to foster dogs. I'm finally in a place that I'm able to do so, but I really want to learn as much about the breed as I can from knowledgable Frenchie people. I'm really enjoying working with them, but learning from people who are familiar with the breed is invaluable to me.
In terms of my "philosophy" when it comes to dogs, I like to really celebrate what makes a dog, a dog. I like to give my dogs a job to exercise them physically and mentally. I believe in positive reinforcement training and love clicker training. I'm still learning, but I love watching a dog's mind work when learning something with a clicker. I'm determined to one day have a Frenchie from a responsible breeder, that I can teach tricks and do dog sports/activities with.
Happy to be here!
