Daisy is so cute and small. She weighs 10 lbs right now. She loves to be held. She'll settle right down and fall asleep in your arms. We've decided to allow her to come on the couch and sit with us during TV time. Should we encourage her wanting to be held? What bad habits can form from allowing this behavior?

I don't see what the problem is with that? Pretty standard stuff having your pup in your arms to cuddle. We also let both of ours up on the couch for tv time for snuggles. I just wouldn't carry her around everywhere! That would probably be what would start to form any bad habits... carrying her on walks or just aimlessly carrying her around the house.

Frenchies are notorious for being velcro dogs and love to snuggle. If you are okay with her being on the furniture then I see no problems.

Just as long as she knows you are the boss there's nothing wrong with snuggling your Frenchie. They are very cuddly dogs who love people.

As others have stated, as long as you develop alpha and stay consistent with her, it should not be an issue. Cheli has run of the house, can go anywhere, but if we tell him no or off, he obeys.
