I know that we all spoil our little furry family members, but how badly is yours spoiled?
I'll share our mission.
To start, I'll say that training is on-going. Ours that is.

1) When shopping for a recliner, it had to be big enough to accommodate three dogs.
This is because the minute you sit down you will have frenchie or a pug with you.
The frenchies prefer to be between the legs. The pug usually snuggles in between my left leg
and the arm of the chair. The little man is attached to me and follows me to whatever room I'm in.

2) When we ask them or they decide they want to go out to the backyard, the frenchies will usually only come back in if we
say the magic "Treat" word
When they do come in, they go right to where the jar with the goodies are, sit down and wait to
be rewarded..

3) Every night, they get ice cream. We get vanilla for them .They really like it!
I give them each a table spoon. I push it off the spoon with my thumb into their mouths.

4) Sometimes we want to get up, but feel bad disturbing them when they are comfy snuggled in a chair
or couch with us.

5) Our little girl Sofi, comes into our bedroom usually between 5 and 6am to my wife's side of the bed. She doesn't bark.
It's more like a cough. The longer my wife ignores her the louder the cough!!!
Sofi likes to lay in between us sometimes. When she does that, she lays her head on my neck and snores like a freight train!!
At that point, I'm pretty much done with sleeping.
We have three big cushions/doggie beds for them, but they sleep on the couch too, after we lay out a blanket for them
before we go to bed.

Ok, that's my story. Please share yours!!:)

Jax is beyond spoiled! I am convinced he does not know he is a dog!

We are the same way when Jax is sleeping on us...we don't want to get up to disturb him. Jax has "his" spot on the couch so when one of us is sitting in it and he wants it, he will just stare at you and sometimes give a little whine until you move. Jax always sleeps in the bed with us but he is always on my side, which is more like his side and I am usually on the edge of the bed. Basically, whatever Jax wants, Jax will get.

Buster is only a little bit spoiled and it is when we are going for walks. He really loves visiting people, dogs, cats, horses and even when I'm in kind of a hurry I let him sniff and visit, visit and sniff all around the loop we are walking. It is so important to him to do that I just can't deny him!
In the house he is pretty close to perfect--no barking, whining, he respects boundaries. He travels well in the car and in our van as long as the windshield wipers are off. The wipers make him crazy with an annoying high pitched bark. I turn him so he isn't facing the windshield and he is normal again!
Yep, Buster is pretty darn close to perfect!

It's amazing how they can weasel their way into our hearts and pretty much get away with stuff!!
I once said, It's like it's their house and they let us live here!!

I'm glad Buster is so close to perfection!! :D
Hilarious about the wipers!
Our little girl Sofi loves car rides.
If she hears us say, "you wanna go for a ride?", she spins around, does the "frenchie bounce" and flies to the front door then flies into the car!
I'll take her for a ride, and when I get home, she jumps into the back seat then back to the front seat so I can't grab her. She wants to continue the ride.

BEYOND... to the point I want to return in my next life as one of MY dogs ;)

Car bought for them... furniture bought for them... they sleep in bed with us and we do all we can to ensure they are comfortable over us.

That is wonderful!
Our vet once said this about our dogs.
Amazing what we do for our little four legged family members and don't think twice about it.
I often wonder who gets the most from our relationship...them or us?

This is so true. The guys that built our last house all wanted to return to life as our dogs!
