I found one of Dante's teeth on the floor. I don't know if it is a baby tooth or a permanent one. Is there any way to tell? He is almost 4 1/2 months old, so I'm hoping it's a baby tooth. I looked in his mouth and there's a hole where the tooth once one. Should I go see the vet next week? Here's a picture of the tooth.

It's his baby tooth. :) Very seldom find them, usually they will swallow them or loose them outside. We found two oh Henri's when he was loosing his.

We only found one of Hudson's. Definitely not something to worry about!

Cheli already had all his adult teeth when we got him so i did not experience this.... too cute that you found one

I so hope it's a baby tooth! The vet said he had two adults coming in. He also sent me home with a small lecture about how I should not let Danté chew antlers because they could break and fracture his teeth -- so that's fresh in my mind.

Is he in any pain? My neuter quote included an optional dental x ray and baby tooth extraction... Should I take them up on that? (With all the "add-ons" the neuter starts at $350 and could potentially be $800)

I don't see the point in a dental xray. They start loosing those baby teeth at around 4 months. It's perfectly normal.

I found 2 of Jax's teeth last summer. I remember calling the vet and them telling me not to worry, they were just baby teeth. And I agree about not needing a dental xray. Do you brush Dante's teeth? It

That is so cool that you found a baby tooth! I wouldn't have the dental x-ray and extractions done either!
