Please i need an advice.
I have been takin care of a french bulldog called Billy for about 6 months. Hes 14 months
I live in a family with my soon to b ex boyfriend n their parents that own him.
The dog got very attached to me n i got very attached to him. Now theres the prob.
I need to leave the place for my safety. The mother of my bf is a heavy smoker n shes emphysema, she doesnt give a flyin damn n smokes around ppl n the dog in a little kitchen (windows n doors shut) his dad had a stroke n hes half paralized, the son which ive been with these past 5 years is an alcoholic.
When i say i take care of the dog i mean, i walk him for 2 hrs a day in all weathers conditions, i play with him, i clean him n his wrinkles, i comfort him, i cuddle him. Hes always with me n he loves me to bits.
The only thing they do for him is puttin food n water in his bowls.
They should never ever got a dog as they can barely take care of themselves n the house is dirty, if it wasnt for me the dog would never been cleaned or walked.
I told ppl that know me n see me walkin him EVERY DAY im leavin n they all told me take Billy with u its URS.
I cant as they will never give him to me to punish me but they will punish him as well.
I dont know what to do n deal with the situation.
Leavin Billy will break my heart n his. Please help

If the dog legally belongs to them, it is their property and I don't know what else you could do. Have you tried speaking to them about taking the dog off of their hands to make it easier on them? Explain that you could see to it that he is walked and well taken care of. If they refuse, I really don't know what you could do. Good luck to you.

Agreed... you'll need to make it sound in their best interest fir him to go with you...

Yes it belongs to them in a way they bought him. They bought him as he was 'funny'.
Some ppl shouldnt b allowed to get dogs because there are so many things involved in carin for a dog a part from the 'funny' bit...
I can try to have a talk with them but as im dumpin their darlington son they will never let me take Billy with me. Im also concerned they might put him down if they cant look after him.
I found out they done that with other dogs they had before n it makes me cringe

I agree with previous advice, it is going to need to be their idea to let you take Billy with you. Maybe you could offer to buy him or trade him for something they might want like a new tv. I hope you are successful in getting custody of Billy!
