Interesting article on colors

Excellent article. People usually purchase trendy colors because they are not aware that this practice is actually harmful to their dogs. The breed standard for color exists for a reason, not because the AKC arbitrarily chooses to exclude certain colors for aesthetic reasons.

Interesting article ! I wish the kennel clubs were even more proactive at making their registered breeds healthier. eg. pugs and bulldogs can have a screw tail as part of the breed standard, but screw tail is associated with malformed vertebrae called hemivertebrae that can eventually lead tp loss of hind leg function and incontinence (inability to control passing urine or faeces).

Interesting read.

We can never have enough insight into our dogs, designer colors or not.
