Hi everyone,

So a few days ago Fiona (now three years old) started having a strange behaviour, she looks for some personal object of another family member (like shoes, clothes, etc.) and sits on top of them (specially my sister's shoes, the closest person to her) and stares at the floor like she is really, really sad... I tried to play with her to cheer her up and she actually played for awhile but after I stopped playing with her she repeated this behaviour.

Isn't this strange? I already went to the vet and he said that all looked normal (even her temperature). Any tips?

Thanks,
Best Regards

Stella likes to lay on my coats, bag, anything that falls on the floor and then she just kind of zones out and falls asleep. Do you suppose your frenchie is just really mellow? Is she eating okay?

You could try engaging her in some play or a good brushing if she enjoys that kind of thing and see if she perks up. Or maybe put up an ad for a doggie playdate?

Hope you can get to the bottom of whats going on with her :)

I just was reading an article about a sad Frenchie and how much they love and need human interaction and it suggested setting aside a time each day (no tv, computer, etc) to just play with them and give them 100% of your attention.

^^^^^ agreed..... maybe take her for a walk to perk her up

I read the same article and Frenchies are very people loving dogs, and will get depressed when they do not have enough human interaction. Like Cbrugs said, you need to set some time aside to just play and love on them one on one.
