Hi guys, im new to the forum. I have been learking around for a while reading posts, so I figured it was about time I joined. I have a little issue with my puppies ears. One of my favourite things about a frenchie are their pointy bat ears and my pups ears actually pointed up rather quickly, (around the 6 week mark). He is now nearly 6 months old but from about 4 1/2 months till now, his ears flopped over, more so when hes tired. Ive tried taping which works for a while, then one ear flops back over then a few weeks later it pops up and the other ear flops over. I know its petty but i couldnt imagine him without his pointy ears, they were so adorable. Is this a normal part of a frenchies growth? Will they ever stay up for good? He is still teething if that has any affect.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys :)

Welcome to the forum! I have no personal experience with this but there are other threads on here you can probably search for where others have had the same issues with the ears flopping back down. I do believe it can be related to the teething. I think others suggest giving yogurt but if you search for the other threads, you'll see all of the discussion.

:welcome3; to FBN .... is it possible he is still teething... I read that can happen if they are.

Thanks for the reply guys :).

I did a search and most have said that teething can cause the ears to flop over for a while. He most certainy is still teething as his adult teeth are only just starting to come through and he is biting like absolute crazy. Apparently they lack calcium during teething. What type of yoghurt or calcium rich food would you guys recommend for a frenchie? He currently eats an organic dry food called Primo Growth and the rest of his diet is raw, so im pretty particular with what he eats.

Thanks

Plain yogurt would be best

They will do that sometimes during teething. You can give a spoonful of plain yogurt everyday if you want, it will help a little.

He is absolutely beautiful and such a good dog, (most of the time lolll). I just really loved his cute massive ears. I have been feeding him plain organic yogurt the last 3 days but now the other ear has flopped over :(
Fingers crossed they will pop back up after hes finished teething.
