I have a 5 month old that has never had a solid poo and usually very soft.

She then started to have diarrhea with a lot of mucus. Our vet recommended we move her onto a grain free diet. She was originally on Royal Canine puppy kibble and never had appetite issues. We slowly transitioned her onto A taste of the wild kibble and again no issues when it came to her appetite but toilet time was the same. She has now all of a sudden lost her appetite and you can hear her stomach gurgling and now she is pooing a lot more than she normally used to and it there is a lot more mucus than there has ever been.

We live on a small island and as much as our Vet is doing all she can to help i know her knowledge on this particular breed isn't as much as you guys in this community.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated

Have you had a fecal test done for parasites? How much are you feeding? Too much food can also be a cause for loose stool.

Agreed, normally puppies are dewormed at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks of age. Your puppy may have not gotten that so I would treat with fenbendazole now and in 2 weeks automatically even if tests were negative since giardia and other worms may not always show. If dog still has loose stools after treating with dewormers try switching to a limited ingredient dog food that is labelled suitable for puppies, eg. zignature duck https://zignature.com/menu/duck-formula-dry/ or Acana duck and pear https://acana.com/usa/our-foods/dog-foods/singles/duck-pear/

Mucus in poo is usually a sign of parasites.... please have her poo tested and be sure they check for giardia
