Just this past Sunday our dog Shaka developed a limp with his rear left leg. Apparently he's too heavy for my daughter and when she took him out of my truck, he landed on his rear legs. I can't say definitely that was the cause of the limp, but we know he was fine when he was put into the truck to go to Petsmart and when he walked into the store, I noticed he was limping.
We waited a day thinking it might go away, well it didn't. I went through his leg trying to see if I could get him to react, but no reaction at all. Weird!!!
So yesterday my wife took him to the Vet and he could not get any type of reaction by touching him all over the leg.
Anyways, he gave us some Rimadyl and Gabapentin.
We also inquired about a flea treatment and we were given Comfortis.
Any issues we should be concerned about with these meds, specifically the Comfortis. We were always used to giving our dogs the liquid that was put along the back. This pill thing is new to us.
Also, at 5 months old he weighed in at 24lbs.
