Hey guy's

Just had a question about drooling lol.. It can be cute most of the time but at times meeka turns into cujo with the amount of drool she can produced where it not just hanging but it starts to drip. I have no experience with bulldogs so I've done some reading and learned this is normal but I was just wondering how your little one's are ? lol

Sorry forgot to mention it's only outside on walk's or at the dog park.

Could be from getting too hot on the walk, Try a shorter walk and see if that helps. Frenchies usually don't drool very much, unless food is involved. Mine do not drool at all, but I do have and English who will drool like a faucet if she sees food.

Same here. Maple doesnt drool unless I pull the freeze-dried treats out. She goes nuts for them and sometimes produces some drool, but thats the only ocassion.

Could it be excitement?
Does she do it year around or only now where its been warmer?

She has never drooled in the house over food, while playing around or anything. I would definitely say it started with the warmer weather as her walks in the winter she never drooled or came close. The last couple weekends were 20c and we went to the dog park where she ran around and I could use an entire sheet of bounty paper towel to wipe up the drool. ( I forgot to mention the drool can look like a foam )

If I just take her out front for a pee then she wont drool, I would say after about minute or so she will normally start

Dexter hangs with drool at the Frenchie meet ups we go to, and only then! It's really strange. I think he just gets really excited by it! It's certainly not the heat here anyway - chance would be a fine thing!

I don't really know much about it either. Only one of mine drools... Banksy and only when he is looking at food he wants. Sometimes when we are eating he will just stare at us with drool coming down his face. its gross. we have been working on his manners! Aiko doesn't drool at all (yet)

Could be that all the stimulation makes him salivate. Jake used to drool when first riding in the car because he was a little afraid. Now he just drools over food.

I have an English that drools all of the time, he has huge jowls and seems to "store" water mixed with saliva.

Maybe that's just how she reacts when she is excited!

I'm thinking it my be the stimulation of being outside..... i would lessen walk time to just to make sure she is not over heating.

Could also possibly be due to anxiety. Jax sometimes drools like that in the car cause he hates car rides. The first time we took him to a Frenchie meet up he was drooling as well.
