IMG_3327.jpg Hello!! This is Lucy! She is 9 years old and happy as can be! I do have a couple of questions so I'm hoping for a little help! Thanks everyone!

Lucy, my 9 year old Frenchie, has been drooling extensively out of the left side of her mouth a lot. It first started happening once every 6 months. Then became more and more frequent. Now it is almost every other day. I have done blood work and had stool samples tested and everything comes back normal. I have tried reading things online and I became overwhelmed. I assume it is something with her acid reflux or esophagus. I have already spent a good bit of money and cannot spend much more at the moment. So I am hoping to get some tips and advice to help her. Thanks in advance!

Lucy is gorgeous. :)

Does she have any other symptoms? Pain? Weightloss? Have you made any changes to her food at all?

What a cutie.... I LOVE the one black eye!! So cool.

:welcome3: to FBN

She is a tough girl and usually hides her pain extremely well. I did change her food to grain free and I use Pepcid AC 10mg every so often. Not sure how good it is to give her that medication daily.

Thank you all for giving such sweet compliments to Lucy! She's the best girl in the entire world!

I have a golden retriever and he has a food allergy we haven't identified. But we moved him to a dry food that is duck and pear blend. He and my Frenchie love the food and his symptoms are gone.

Perhaps try a single protein food as well.

Lucy is beautiful! Does the drooling happen under certain circumstances or just randomly, because Jake will drool when he is stressed (car, vet, etc) or when he smells food.

:smileywelcome: to you and Lucy! I know dogs that have big jowls tend to drool more, but it sounds like Lucy's drooling is maybe age related. In dog years she is a senior!
