Hi all, my 2 year French bulldog has started snapping at me and my partner when we go to stroke him. Anyone have any suggestions why this is! He’s normally really loving

First I would have him checked by a Veterinarian to be sure he isn't having some sort of pain.

Agree, he could have orthopedic issues for example. Also, may be time to neuter him if he's not neutered already. Also have him evaluated for soft palate reduction and nostril widening if he snores and needs to have other surgeries done, so you can do both at same time.

Does sound like he may have some pain some place. Not normal for a Frenchie.

agree with the gang.... it sounds that he may be in some pain. have a vet check done to rule any health issues out

Inooo I hope soo to he’s been very clingy since our trip the vets, he won’t leave my side x

Poor baby. I'm glad you got a diagnosis though. He will be as good as new in no time. :)

Now you know why he was snapping! Glad it’s something that can be easily treated.

Yay! So glad you checked on this and that he is on the mend. You are a good frenchie mommy!

What's he eating? Food allergies are a common cause of ear infections. Also, after infection cleared up make sure you clean ears whenever he scratches at them with something like 50% apple cider vinegar and 50% witch hazel sprayed into ear and wiped out.
