Last night we brought Hudson in from his last walk around midnight as we always do. He had his usual moment of Frenchie zoomies down the hall, but this time he stopped abruptly at my feet (usually he does a few laps). Suddenly I noticed that he was bleeding, and started panicking and looking for a source. Turns out he ripped one of his dew claws half out.
We drove a half hour to the emergency vet with me freaking out the whole way, and Hudson and my boyfriend being totally calm haha. Luckily, the vet was able to pop the broken part off and stop the bleeding without incident and we were good to go.
Hudson the ham laid on his back and let them clean up his legs and cut all his nails super short, loving the attention. He thought he was having a dang spa day. He also weighed in at a whopping 28.5 pounds! I guess he wasn't done growing after all.
There is never a dull moment with this creature!! Can't believe I want another one [emoji23]
Here's Hudson recovering from his (aka my) traumatic night. He's back to his normal self today, just sleepy from his late night!
