Hello,

Me and my girlfriend are getting a Frenchie in a week. Still deciding on a name. We have three that we can't decide between (Ellington, Harper, London). This is our first dog together, I have had two in the past (a German Shepherd, and a Bichon). We are getting a blue pied Frenchie that is 17 weeks old. We are very excited! I joined the forum here to learn more about Frenchies and see what kinds of foods people are feeding their Frenchies and what toys, treats, bedding, etc. People use. I want my Frenchie to be happy and healthy and I figure a large group of people that have Frenchies probably have great advice.

Hi and welcome! Congrats on your future new addition. How exciting! I feed my Frenchie Fromm 4 star. She doesn't really play with toys, but she will chew a Himalayan chew now and again. Kong is a good toy. It's pretty much indestructible and you can fill it with treats, which is always welcome. I like all 3 names that you picked out, so I'm no help there. Can't wait to see pictures.

:smileywelcome: to you and your puppy! Our dogs love nylabones for aggressive chewers and kongs for agressive chewers. We can't give them soft (stuffed) toys because they destroy them in minutes. We feed Natures Variety Instinct Limited Ingredient Turkey because our English Bulldog has food allergies and that is 1 of about 3 foods he can eat!

Gus is an aggressive chewer, as well, but doesn't destroy plush toys. He loves to tug and fetch, so we have lots of toys. We give him Himalayan Yak Chews and Benebones for chewing.

We feed frozen commercial raw - mostly Answers Pet Food. They also have great fermented goat cheese treats and we also give him some (single ingredient) dehydrated "raw" treats from Vital Essentials.
