Newbie just saying hello

We are retired and live in Bend. My husband has two Scottish terriers females that are pretty much his dogs. I would like a dog hopefully that would bond to me. The scotties are pretty independent and like to off on their own mostly and aren't much into cuddles. Monte says they have always been that way. I have heard that isn't so with the FB. So I have joined this site to ask questions and learn more. I have read a lot already and have been to shows. I have had mostly standard poodles, always from show stock. I will not chance any dog to poor breeding. I research them as much as they should research me.
So, that's about it. I'm hoping to hear about breeders in or around my area, I don't like traveling much anymore. I also would consider a older dog if it was a good fit. For now I will read and learn.

:smileywelcome: to FBN. You are very smart to research breeders before buying a puppy. I remember hearing about an excellent Bulldog breeder in Redmond, OR, but don't know if she breeds Frenchies. Go to the dog show in Redmond and ask around. Someone may have a dog they are retiring!

Welcome! Frenchies are known to be velcro dogs who love humans so you'll get plenty of cuddles with a FB. There are plenty of FBs up for adoption that are listed on this site. Good luck!
