Oren came home on Thursday. Pierce spent most of the day being quite excited around him and checking him out, but also playing with him. Schatzi, our dachshund that is 12, played a little, but mostly watched him from a distance. He is fascinated by her tail since he has not seen a dog with a tail that long!
His breeder has been training him to use puppy pads and he does really well. We plan to train him to go outside, and will work on that more diligently starting next week. My husband has worked it out so that he will not be at the fire department on the days J work (I only work three days a week) until the end of this month, so we have a few weeks to work on a potty routine.
We are in love with Oren already. I have been in love with him since the beginning since I have seen him once or twice a week since he was born. I can't wait to share his antics with all of you.
