Hi guys,
Our nine month old girl has been suffering for a few weeks from small red blotches on her skin. She eats a 95% raw diet, with a few small kibbles thrown in for crunching on. We'd like to identify and remove the cause if possible as it seems to bother her most days. We live in Malaysia where temperatures are >32degC every day and humidity is typically 80%. It could be moisture, it could be something in our garden or it could be food related, we really don't know at the moment. I've attached some pictures to see if anybody has seen this type of thing before and if so, what caused it. I know it's a process of elimination but a pointer in the right direction would be a huge help.
Thanks

The areas shown in the pictures are certainly the same as where Dexter breaks out with his food allergies..... Have you had your vet check for any mites etc? If you have and they're clear, I'd try removing the kibble and changing the raw protein to something novel - the more unusual the better. You should see a difference in upto 8 weeks if it's food related.

I have no experience with Frenchies in the heat though, but I'm sure someone can suggest a few things to try for that. Being in Scotland, it's not a problem we have here at all :)

Sorry, I can't be very helpful, but the spots resemble spots one of our English Bulldogs had from eating chicken.

What protein(s) is she eating? It can definitely be food related so you can try changing to a different protein to see if that helps.

Thanks for the responses guys. The more I look at it, the more I think it's heat related. Her skin often feels clammy/damp in the areas where the issue is most prevalent. Oddly, I might give talcum powder a go first and see if it helps. Any suggestions for anything else that we can use, other than keep the aircon on constantly?!

It looks more heat related but could also be contact allergies. Be careful with the heat/humidity... these little guys do not do well with it at all
