We've got a 1 1/2 year old French puppy. This is our first, but we have a good vet and have done a ton of research. Nothing really prepared us for her latest problem though. It has been humid and hot, so we limit her outdoor time while still getting in exercise. We used to take her to a local college to wall around during the fall and spring, but the last 2 times we've taken her, she's seemed to really overheat and vomit.
She's not well leashed trained in public, she pulls a lot and it causes her to pant really hard. She gets snotty--and throws up any water she's just had when she starts to over pant. We thought she was better on leash since around the blocks here she's fine, but in public she's a little spastic.
This vomiting is worrying us. We think it's the combo heat and pulling, but wonder if she has pallet or nares issues. We also miss being able to take her for walk's around town, she's just pulling way too much now. Any advice on how to help or puppy be active, but not a snot filled vomit machine, would be appreciated.
