Hi All! I am fairly new to French Bulldog ownership and I am needing a bit of advice...
Over the past 3 weeks my 8 months Frenchie has been intermittently peeing blood. His bloody urine began around March 7th. I took him to the vet and they determined after a UA analysis that the blood was likely due to "trauma" (my little guy spent all weekend playing with my friend's kids). The blood cleared up by that Saturday (March 10th). Between the 10th and the 20th all was well with my guy but after a puppy playdate and a long walk around the 20th, he started peeing blood again. Throughout all of this, my Frenchie's mood/affect was super happy; he's been eating, drinking, and sleeping normally. I took him to the vet on the 22nd. Vet did another UA and a full-panel blood test. All results came back normal. Vet recommended an ultrasound to rule anything out...given that his appearance, blood work, UA, and mood are all normal and look healthy. By the 25th my puppy's blood cleared up but I noticed it again tonight (March 27th; we went on a semi long but easy walk on the 26th).
I am planning on taking him to get an ultrasound tomorrow but I guess I am wondering if someone has experienced something similar? I am holding on to the hope that he is ok and this is residual trauma due to his behavior but I am at a loss. Any advice (outside of take him to get the ultrasound because that is my plan) would be really helpful!
