I have been getting more and more concerned with Pierce's breathing. Even throughout the winter months, when the temps would be in the 50's and 60's he would get so winded and have so much phlegm. It also happens anytime he gets excited. Randy finally agreed there was a problem (he was in denial for awhile) when the regurgitation started. He saw our vet last week and she agreed the surgery would help. We are lucky to have a Vet specialty clinic here that has a surgeon with a lot of experience with this surgery. Pierce will go have labwork done today at our vet office and she will call and see when she can get him scheduled. We are hoping it will be before the end of this week. If not, it will be next week. We will let the surgeon make the call on the nares. I think they will end up being done also.
We have Healthy Paws insurance and they do cover Bracheocephalic syndrome. I talked with them yesterday, just to double check. That was the reason I chose them. Now, I am glad I did.
