Hi.
This is Pierre. AKA Pierre the dog, and officially Pierre Cochon Chauve-Souris.
I'm Robin (the mom).
We brought Pierre home last Christmas eve when he was 7.5 weeks old. BEST Christmas EVER!
He'll be getting his BOAS and probably neutered this Monday and I came here looking for information on what to expect, and any tips on the best way to help him recover. Unfortunately our vet doesn't do the surgery, and the closest vet who does, doesn't do laser, but does a lot of nares and soft palate. I'm so hopeful Pierre will be able to breathe easier after this because he really struggles every night -- gasping, snoring, and has even vomited a couple of times -- and is now mouth breathing in the day. I really wish I would have gotten this done sooner for him.
Anyway, I'm so glad I found this site! lots of really wonderful information for a first time Frenchie mom.
