Pink mark near mouth/nose

Dr. Bob just called with some great news. Quella's pre-surgery blood work came back and it is beyond normal. Her liver profile has no issues what so ever. At this point, we're going to refrain from completing the liver biosy, which prevents an additional 2" scar on her belly as well as any possible complications related to the additional procedure. After surgery, we're going to take her off of the Denamarin and recheck her liver function. Hopefully I can take her off of the medication based on the findings. Her dew claws get caught on bedding, branches or bushes when walking every few weeks and I'd like to prevent any possible tears, bleeding, etc, so we'll be removing her dew claws. Spaying. Removing a baby tooth if the doctor finds it necessary. And the dreaded bump on her muzzle which Dr. Bob warned and tried to prepare me, that it will cause a scar, but he'll do his best to remove all of the bump and keep minimal margins. He's every concerned as to how big and discoloured it's gotten in the past few weeks. Crossing fingers it's not a MCT.

Thanks so much to everyone who has been by our side throughout this process. We're almost done.

Oh good news!

Definitely worried about her poor muzzle!

Keep us updated! [emoji173]️

And good news again! I dropped Quella off this morning for her surgeries and shortly afterwards, Dr Bob called and let me know once Q was under he aspirated the bump on her muzzle. 3 of the vets reviewed under the microscope and they all believe it's histiocytoma. They're sending it in for testing just to be sure. If it's histiocytoma, it should eventually fall off. If not, Q will need to go back in for surgery to have it removed.

Q has two teeth on top of eachother on the top front of her gumline. Dr Bob days it's an adult tooth and recommended we leave it as opposed to removing good root/bone. No problem with me as you can hardly see it and I think it's cute and adds personality.

Quella was spayed and her dew claws removed as they often get stuck on bedding and outdoor bushes, etc. She was just waking up and Dr Bob said everything went wonderfully, with the exception of her skin becoming pink once under so he gave her Benadryl and steroids. She hasn't taken her allergy medicine for a week so she was a little raw from scratching before hand anyway.

Quella has Dog, I mean God on her side today. I'm so relieved. Phew.

Glad they are fairly certain that the bump isn't anything bad, and that surgery went well for her! [emoji173]️

I hope you recover fast little Q!

All great news! I'm sure you're relieved. Hope she has a speedy recovery from her surgery. My bull terrier had a couple of histiocytomas and I had them removed. One on his ear and one on his front leg.

Pic of my poor baby leaving the vet. My beautiful baby girl is home and oh so sad. I made a bed on the floor so we can sit together and watch tv. Hopefully this will help her relax and help her feel like I'm not the enemy.

Quella was sick right when she got home and again at 10pm. She slept through the night without any pain medicine and has went pee 3x and poo 1x. Unfortunately, she hasn't eaten yet so I'm heading to the vet for some nausea/vomiting meds so she'll hopefully eat and drink soon enough. She's such a love bug and doesn't seem like she is in any pain, but I dont want to chance it so I just gave her a Tramidol. She let's me look at her paws and belly without even flintching. Such a sweet girl.
