My french bulldog 'Tyrion' whom I had for about a month now was apparently such a calm dog with his siblings and 2 German Shepherds is a nightmare when out walking.

In the house he responds all the time, when we're out and he sees another dog he gets aggressive. I've tried also etc of 'I'm the alpha' techniques. Today though while trying to get his attention to leave and sit, went for me...almost like he couldn't see me and was just so focused on the terrier.

Around people and children he is perfectly fine. I've tried using the clicker but when we're out he doesn't like to have treats, you can put a steak in front of him and he doesn't care...

I love my boy to bits, he goes into the kitchen at night and has sofa time before we go bed. I've tried no pull leads and I don't know what else to do :*(

You may need to get some professional help from a trainer. I'd start out with a private assessment of his behavior, then get in to a group training class to reinforce what was learned in the private classes. How old is he? Good luck and :smileywelcome: to you and Tyrion. Oh, make sure the trainer knows Bulldogs. They are so much more stubborn that "regular" eager to please dogs!

At £35 an hour I'm struggling to find the funds to be able to commit. He's 2 years old. X

I would definitely recommend some sort of training. If you can't afford private lessons why not go to group classes. Socialize him with other dogs.

It is worth the money! all this stuff kind of comes along with getting a dog..

I don't know where you live but stores like Pet smart have obedience training for cheaper than private lessons. Anything Is better than nothing!

You could be misjudging his behavior. Frenchies play hard and what is normal Frenchie play could be mistaken for aggression. Ask your vet. for suggestions.

Socialising is definitely the one thing he needs, I'll ask my pet store or vets. Thanks

I may try that game with my partner, lol. Sit, not move out of his seat and demand a cuppa tea. Haha

Good advise above, and maybe a group training session would help.
