I have been researching possibly feeding my new puppy a raw diet, but frankly I am overwhelmed and don't know if I will end up doing it or not because there is just so much to figure out. Does anyone have experience with Primal Treats? Like the freeze dried nuggets and various protein formulas. I still have six weeks to research, but at this point I'm considering at least adding something like these to his diet (if I feed kibble, it will be Orijen).

I too had thought about feeding raw in the past but like you I find it very confusing. Instead I have chosen to feed Orijen and our puppy is thriving and growing with no health issues or allergies thus far.

We just started feeding raw and there's nothing Confusing about it for us because we buy frozen patties that are already Complete meals! They are doing amazing on it so far

Where do you purchase the complete meals?

Unless you prep everything yourself, fresh feeding really isnt that difficult.
There are tons of commercial raw brands that you can buy in pattie or nugget form and all you have to do is thaw and feed.
Primal makes these patties and nuggets as well.

We do use Primal FD ocassionally when we travel or as a treat. My guys love it!
Orijen has a FD formula and FD treats, too.

When I go to Primal's website and choose the option for complete meals, it says they don't offer that right now. So what nuggets or patties are you referencing? Complete meals are what I have been searching for, but haven't been able to find yet.

EDIT: Ahhhh...I didn't have it on "all products" when I hit "complete diet" and that's why it said that. I'm an idiot. Thank you!

Second Edit: So if I buy the nuggets, I'd feed ONLY those and that would be a complete meal? And it says to feed 4% of body weight (for 8-12 week old puppies) so if I'm guesstimating (trying to see if this is economical for me) and bring home a 7lb puppy, I have to feed...0.28oz a day? Wait, what? Am I off? I have to be off. That doesn't feel like much.

We get them from a local pet store! The brand is Pets Go Raw. it's a Canadian company though... I am sure there are some near you. Try going to a pet store that's not a huge commercial company and asking them what your options are

We feed raw to our adult and our 9 week old puppy. The adult is on it because he can't have kibble and the pup is because I saw what a huge difference it made for the adult. We feed patties or chubs and give fun raw treats so it's easy.
