Puppy has thin fur on head

My new puppy has very thin white fur on top of her head, you can see her skin thru it. The rest of her fur is thick. Is this normal? Will it get thicker? She has just been treated for Giardia, could this be the cause of it?

I would have her checked for mange... if fighting giardia her immune system is low and she can’t fight the mites

i agree with all the above. As an aside, I would have her treated for more than one round for Giardia, because it almost always comes back.

At one point one of my dogs had whipworm, and vet had me empirically treat her with Panacur for 4 rounds of treatment before even checking if it was resolved.
