Quella's 1st (of many) Roadtrips

Q-Roux and I are planning our first road trip together. We're spending 3 nights in Sedona. It will be filled with bar hopping, hiking, shopping and socializing. Unfortunately, our trip is a month out, but we're in the reservation stage as well as itinerary planning stage.

My lil spoiled princess deserves more than camping in the dirt with generators running and loud drunkeness, so I'm taking her GLAMPING. We'll have electric, water, cable tv, WiFi and bathrooms that don't need to be pumped!

I'm also in the process of buying or making a carrier from a child carrier. Unfortunately, the dog specific one like below is over $250. Any recommendations are appreciated.

OMG I love that little teardrop camper!!!!! I agree, she deserves glamping! I have pinned a bunch of glamping stuff on pinterest. So cool. We have a camper, but it's getting pretty old and my husband said he is tired of working on it every time we go camping. We have been talking the last week or so about buying a brand new one. I think we have just about talked ourselves into it. I love camping with dogs. So fun!! I can't wait to see all the pictures of your and little Roo's adventures.

Love the camper! I know people who just use a regular backpack to carry their dogs on hikes. I'm sure you can adjust it so her head sticks out.

The most amazing thing has happened. I posted a pic on Facebook of the Tough Traveler dog carrier above and one of my friends said their brother was selling one at their yard sale over the weekend. I figured it was a baby carrier from REI or Babies R Us but when he sent me a picture, to my disbelief it was the dog carrier I was looking at. Score!

Quella is in overload. She can't stop drooling and is even blowing bubbles from her nose. Hope she gets use to it and soon otherwise this trip might end up getting cut short. We're less than 300ish feet from Oak Creek or the dog run.

Q-Roux getting shelter from the rain and hail while I cook sausage and eggs. Now we're going to cuddle in the camper watching a movie and hoping the rain subsides so we can shop, hike or go to the winery.

It rained until 3ish so we were stuck in the camper watching movies and taking naps all day but snuck out for a bit to share some chicken fajitas, check out some shops in uptown sedona and another stroll down by the creek. Unfortunately, the weather doesn't look much better for the next 2 days, but luckily Quella could sleep for days straight, so at least don't have a fussy pup on my hands.

Wow, that view is amazing. What kind of stroller is that? I have been looking on Amazon and reading reviews of various ones. I want to get one big enough for my future baby for when we vacation. I won't be needing it until our December trip so I've got time to think on it.

Quella and I hung out at Oak Creek Winery for a good 4 hours. At first we started inside and after getting limited attention, she finally settled on the floor. Luckily once outside one of the limo drivers for a wine tour gave her tons or attention and rough housing. As you can see she was super tired on the way back to the rv. We finished off the evening with a new shirt from Petsmart and Thai food to go. Here's to a restful night and safe ride home.

Aw the sleepyhead pics are so precious! Glad you had a great glamping trip!

I see her dot on her face hasn't gone away yet... I wonder if there's something topical the vet could give you to help it along.
