Hi so I have a 17 weeks old frenchie, his name is carter! So I’m here today to ask about my puppy. Is it normal for them to sniff all day long and look for food all day long? And eat everything off the ground sticks leafs ext ext lol. He always watching the hands thinking you have food, he will always just sniff your lips to see if you have food lol. To me this seems fairly excessive but this is my first frenchie so would love so proper feedback. I feed him 3 times a day 1.5 cups total a day. Even after meals seems like he still always looking and sniffing for food.

I had one Frenchie that was like that. He would eat anything/everything that he was able to get his paws on. He used to go through the kitchen inch by inch every few hours to see if anything had fallen since his last patrol. If yours is like that, you are going to have to keep a close eye on him. I had several vet visits over the years due to him eating something he shouldn’t have.

Ohh no I thought this could have been normal for a frenchie, but lately I have been thinking I have ever seen anyone talk about it or even seen any videos of them doing this excessively, it’s not a health problem is it

And yup the whole kitchen floor over and over and over again lol, non stop just doesn’t stop inch by inch for as long as he is down stairs lol. Unless you try to distract him with a toy

Welcome to FBN! Wanting to eat everything is fairly common behavior for all puppies. They all need to be watched and told "NO" and "LEAVE IT" from the beginning!

Welcome!

Wally is my first Frenchie and I found he was the same. You'll have to keep a close eye on him for sure and start training him to leave it. Good luck!

You just described my guy, Chelios... he will be 8 next week and is never not hungry
