Reaction to spay sutures

I thought I would share some photos of Olivia's spay incision (5/22/14). She has had a reaction to the suture material. She is on a course of antibiotics now as a precaution. The vet said there was a slight chance they might rupture but probably not.

Hope she is doing better. Lucy had a reaction to them too.

It's not very uncommon for dogs to have a localized reaction to sutures. It doesn't look that bad at all. I'm sure she will be fine.

Isabelle had this in a much smaller scale of a reaction... But unfortunately it's a small hernia. It slipped back in already, vet said it's not a giant concern right now, but if it comes back out to bring her in for precautions.
