A few days ago I noticed what looked like an ingrown hair on my 12 week old puppy's belly. I rubbed a little coconut oil on it and thought nothing of it since I'll be seeing my vet in a few days. However, I just noticed a few more spots his morning, not sure if they're new or I'm just seeing them properly in the daylight. Any ideas on what this might be? Could it be ingrown hairs, a rash or something else?

Does look like a rash and as Christine said, try wiping with a cool cloth, and also some Benedryl.

It could be an allergic reaction to a shot he might have had recently.
Or maybe the shampoo you are using. How often do you wash him?

I've only shampooed him once since getting him from my breeder about a month ago. I got the shampoo from the vet and unfortunately his skin had a little bit of a reaction to it, but cleared up the next day. I've since given him a handful of water baths. Would this maybe be from his food? I recently switched him from royal canin to Fromm puppy food.

Its actually a real high quality food you are giving him. If you just recently switched and this happened right after the switch, then it is surely a possibility.
Which puppy formula are you giving him? "Fromm Gold Puppy" or "Fromm Heartland Gold puppy" ??
Do you still have the royal canin? Switch back and see if it will go away.

im feeding him the Fromm gold puppy. I wasn't impressed with the ingredients in the royal canin. This started about a week after I switched him.

I definitely do not think you should switch back to royal canin.. it's not a very good food.
Keep the area clean for sure... it will probably go away on its own and half a benadryl as David suggested.
