I have 2 frenchies, both males! Cosmo is 10 months old and Carlos is 7 months old,
We have no problem with Cosmo, when we go out we lock them
Into a section of the house with their bed and toys. Every since we got Carlos when he was about 4 months old every time we leave him alone he poops everywhere and eats it and tears everything up. I believe he has delegation anxiety and so does our vet. Anyone have any tips of how to calm this down because I feel very sad for him being in such a panic.

Thank you

Try crate training instead of such free roam. It'll take time but it will be better for him.

Hopefully someone with more experience comments!

The issue is that if we create train him then Cosmo will be alone and will fret for Carlos. I couldn't put them both in the create because cosmo is such a great dog nothing worries him so unfair he is in the create too. But if I don't find a solution I may have to consider it. Thank you! :)

I would crate Carlos and Cosmo when you have to leave. Life is never fair, Cosmo will accept being crated.

When Wally was a puppy we only crated him and left Uma free roam of the house and didn't have any issues. Then again Uma is a BT and not a Frenchie so she's not so 'clingy' to other dogs. She didn't seem to care that he was crated and she probably teased him about it. lol! However, we did move one of her beds beside the crate so they could sleep together, which they did all the time.

Jake and Stella are 10 mos. apart and when Stella was still young and not fully housebroken, we would put her in a x-pen with a crate and a pee pad. Jake would roam free and once Stella was housebroken we let her roam free as well. It took a while to housebreak Stella so hang in there. Consistency in trying to establish a schedule should help. Is he getting plenty of exercise? A tired dog is a good dog. How long is he being left? He will also cue off of you too, so if you are anxious, he may be as well. I would also try to not make a big deal out of leaving or coming home. It's hard to ignore them when they are so happy to see you, but I think it helps control anxiety about the comings and goings of their master.

He is really good with the house braking, he has picked it up quickly, it is seriously only when we leave, Cosmo is complete house trained and will only go to the toilet when we take him outside, Carlos is still using puppy pads but always goes on them when he is roaming free in the house. We live in Dubai and at the moment it is super hot so during the day they only go outside for toilet brakes because it is way to hot for them to be outside for a long periods of time. Other then they they play all day together and I keep them stimulated with activities also. They get a walk late in the afternoon once it is cool, so yes they seem to be getting plenty of exercise. They are not left for any longer then a couple of hours. I leave them with kong chew toys and other toys also.
Yes I have started paying them both no attention when I leave or come back home. The only issue we are having with Carlos is that he is so anxious when we leave him and poops multiple times and eats them all 98% of the time.

Thank you for your advice.

You should crate them both , Carlos will learn from Cosmo how to be relaxed.
They will probably go to sleep anyways in such a confined place..

The best thing to do is to create train him, till his behavior will stop. Otherwise it is always a reputation for him, almost like a habbit...oh I'm alone I will poop and tier all apart. At the beginning as already Gadi sayed it's best to create them both, so that the younger can feed from the energy of the older...

I am going to start creating them. But I'm worried that poor Cosmo will be stuck left in a create that Carlos will just poop in anyways. I always make sure they have both gone outside for a run and toliet before I leave them. But some how Carlos still can pop 3 times while we are away. I don't want Cosmo to be stuck in the cage with Carlos poo! Haha

Help!!!!!

Thank you I am going to try creating them both. Cosmo is so relaxed so I'm hoping this will help Carlos learn.

They should each have their own crate. Mine are crated separately.

Hi, how did it end up going with your two pups? Did you crate them both and did that work?
