hi again :)
our Lua is 10wks old. I have been reading conflicting reports on how many times to feed. We started on 3 times a day, but spoke to our vet(who specializes with bulldogs) and he recommended just sticking to 2x a day. many of you on here recommend 3x.

food transition or supplementing. Currently feeding TOTW puppy and add Stella and Chewys meal mixers. If I were to give her honest kitchen or another dehydrated or freeze dry raw, do I have to transition it with her current kibble? Do I just give her the honest kitchen and go back and forth? What if I want to feed her S & C patties every now and then? Im just curious on the transition part and can I just keep changing things up? Please keep in mind Im not referring to keep changing dry kibble... just alternating between raw and her TOTW.

What a cutie! We have always fed out puppies 3 X a day. I'd ask the vet why 2 X is recommended if the total amt of food fed daily is the same. We start with twice daily feeding around 6 months old. I would introduce any new food gradually to make sure it doesn't upset her stomach!

I also fed 3x a day until 6 months. Not sure why a vet would have an issue with spreading the meals out. Hmm.

Gus is currently on a completely raw diet, but before we made the leap, I was feeding 1/2 kibble and half dehydrated raw (THK and S&C). I never had an issue with switching up part of the meal.

Some people say not to mix raw and kibble but I'm not sure if dehydrated counts or not. Gus never seemed to have any issues, so maybe that's more for fresh or frozen raw.

its not that he had an issue with it at all. He is just convinced that its six to 1, half dozen to the other and it would be easier for us, just keep to 2xs.

Changing things up.... I would wait till she is 6-8 months... belly can be sensitive at puppy age and you'll have a better understanding of what she can tolerate after 6 months - just my suggestion.

I did 3 times a day as well until about 6/7 months.

ok, we went back to 3 times a day. What is recommended if puppy not eating entire meal? Do I leave it out for her or take it away and just wait until next meal?

We fed Wally 2x a day because 3x wasn't doable for us (we don't work close to where we live). He had no issues with his health because of it.

We also do three times a day until 6 months of age and also switch them to adult food at that time.
