Was reading an article about the top 10 French Bulldog Breeders in North America and one of them that was listed had that they do not release a pup to new owners until 10 to 12 weeks old. Also before a pup leaves they will spay or neuter them. The do a surgical laser technique that they talked about which helps them heal quicker and are only asleep for a few minutes to do this. I thought that this was too young in my opinion and was wondering what you all thought? I do not want to offend anyone but was curious about this

I agree with MaplesMommy. Pups should not get fixed this young.

I disagree with their list so much. Specializing in blues, chocolates, and black/tans? Blues are just a little more special?! That infuriates me. They are just adding to the mantra that these "rare colors" are somehow better and worth paying more money for. That could not be further from the truth! Ugh. I wish I hadn't read that. I need a drink. ;)

Sorry all, but i just wanted to make sure that what i thought was somewhat correct in case i was asked from someone. Their prices also on their sites a somewhat crazy also to me, which i think was $6,000 minimum on most of them.

We didn't get ours till 12 weeks, but he's almost 2 and a half now and still not neutered. Had he been neutered that young we would have found a different breeder.

No way I would ever buy from a breeder that spayed/neutered at that age. That is just wrong.
