So Beatrice went to the Pet Resort for 4 nights and according to the staff she did very well. She didn't eat all of her meals but had good interactions at group play and since she is so stinking cute she got tons of extra attention. They reported that her poop was solid except for the last one just before we picked her up Monday evening. Monday night she has a diarrhea meltdown and by Tuesday morning she was full on runs with blood. So we took her to the Vet where they said she had developed a GI Bacterial infection and they were concerned enough to start a course on antibiotics and gave her a fluid bolus. The Bet said it was likely Stress induced diarrhea. She has been on what they describe as GI "rest" for the past 24 hours. Has anyone experienced Stress Diarrhea?? I understand the bacterial infection is a result of the good flora being dumped from her intestinal tract so we are considering Probiotics as a supplement as well. I know that this I a multi layered question but what are your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

She is resting comfortably at the moment waiting patiently for your insight and guidance

What a cutie pie!

I would do the probiotics just to keep her balanced.... add a little pumpkin to her food and that will also help with the poo getting back to firm

Could be from stress or just picked up a bug from there. The probiotics and pumpkin are a good choice.

Beatrice is a cutie!

When Buster goes to the local pet hotel he doesn't eat at all unless they hand feed him!

A good probiotic if Beatrice is still having diarrhea would be Nutramax Proviable Kit which contains Proviable DC probiotic capsules and Proviable KP paste ( kaolin pectin ) .
