Hi everyone! Just wanted you opinion about taping frenchie ears ? I've heard good and bad things...Charlie's ears are constantly turned outward and pinned back. If I push them forward, they look like how how a frenchies ears are supposed to look. But if I let them lay natural? They just flop to the back of his head. Sometimes they are upright...hut they are turn outward? Lol. It's very entertaining. Posters on here have said that it is because he is teething and using up calcium and that's why his ears flop back like that. His ears look extra pointy sometimes ...but then he'll turn his head and I'll see his ears in profile and they are the cutest little rounded tips. ...they're just not on his head properly I guess. I've seen articles and suggestions in taping ears....but just wanted your frenchie opinions!

I personally wouldn't tape any dogs ears, but that's just me. Depending on his age, he could be teething and I have heard that their ears can fall down during that stage and yogurt helps with calcium.

How old is he?

4 months!

gotcha. He is teething and when we brought him home his ears were straight up. But since then, they've started kind of bent back and look pinned to his head....what kind of yogurts would you suggest ?

I never had this issue but I know there have been threads discussing it. You can probably find them if you do a search.

plain yogurt is best and once teething has finished his ears will be back to normal

I'm wondering about taping to, one of my boys ears went up when he was 2 months old, he's 6 months now and the other one still isn't up. image.jpgimage.jpg

My personal opinion is that I wouldn't tape my dogs ears. I'm sure someone on here has more insight for you though :)

I would not tape them. It could be from teething, and it also could just be from poor breeding.
