Hi everyone,
Our girl is turning 6 months in 6 days - yay! We have been feeding her raw (turkey) from Naturawls for about a week now and she has lost some weight. She was the runt of the litter and was absolutely tiny. A couple of weeks ago (before starting raw) we weighed her and she was the whooping 13.1lbs, however she is currently 11.4lbs. I would have never thought she lost any weight if it wasn't for the scale as she is so much happier, gobbles down her meals (we had to entice her to eat Acana), her coat is shinier, she is full of energy AND doesn't really look any skinnier to us.
We feed her 1/2lb a day (split in three portions) and also give her fish oil and coconut oil. She also has a fair amount of treats (liver, hearts, dried fish) daily. I will try fattier proteins for the next few weeks to see if anything changes.
Should we try to fatten her up with some quinoa, sweet potato or yoghurt? Does she seem too slim to you?
Thought its fitting to take a few pictures of her as she gobbles down her dinner.
