I recently have been diagnosed with depression and my psychologist has recommended taking Buddy when travelling for work. I am against taking anti-depressants and this seems like a great alternative, but he is not comfortable writing a letter for me. Has anyone used esadoctors.com? A friend of mine recently got a letter from them and he has been able to travel with his 70 pound black lab. I have heard of fake registration services and I am scared of spending a lot of money for nothing.

I would pressure your psychologist to either write that letter or refer you to someone who will. Good luck!

I agree with above!

I agree get the letter, plus look into getting your trained to be a service dog, once that is done, you will not need a letter.

This is my situation exactly, I was also diagnosed. I am in college and started to get depressed, my psychologist wrote me a letter and now my Louis can live with me even though pets are not allowed. He is my "emotional support dog". I would totally recommend getting a letter from your doctor, a registration site doesn't do much.

I went ahead and signed up on the website rather than having another debate about the effects of an emotional support animal. I received a letter from esa doctors and it was from a real psychologist. I checked with the state board and everything :whew:

Looking forward to taking my boy on my next trip coming up in March. Wish me luck!
