I was reading on the allergy article attached to this website about reducing yeast in dogs. It mentioned that you can put a little apple cider vinegar in their food, "the kind from the Mother and not the generic." What does that mean? Is this something you get at the health food store and not at the grocery store?

We use Bragg, the cloudy buildup at the bottom is a good indicator that it hasn't been super processed and strained. It's a different kind of fermentation process I think. Having it keeps more live, good bacteria as I understand it. According to Bragg's website, the mother consists of "strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules."

I know someone who puts a splash in all of their dogs food every morning of "raw apple cider vinegar". She swears by it for a multitude of issues.

I usually add half a teaspoon of Bragg to 500ml of drinking water.

You can also use it topically: Mix 1/2 cup ACV + 1/2 cup brewed green tea + 1 cup water and fill it in a spray bottle ;)

Thanks, everyone. I had never heard of this.
