Hi
I have a 2 year old French bulldog who is raw fed chicken tripe and offal which is shop bought. We have tried various proteins in the past nothing else seems to agree with him. Since the start of the year Hamish has been sick on average once a fortnight. We’ve been to two different vets and they can’t seem to get to the bottom of the problem. There is no pattern to when he’s sick sometimes straight after food other times before food. Before and after he is sick he drools an awful lot and licks the carpet. The last time we went to vets she recommended Petplus. Any advise would be much appreciated
Thanks

Since I switched to frozen ground raw my dog regurgitates into her mouth after eating much more often than she ever did before.

Hopefully you can buy a commercial ground up frozen raw product that follows the BARF diet, which is 70% muscle meat, 10% raw edible bone, 5% liver, 5% other secreting organ, and 10% veggies/fruit. The present diet isn't complete. I'm not sure why he is throwing up, but offal and tripe are a bit harder on the stomach than other more digestible proteins like rabbit, duck or turkey, so try to buy a product containing one of those proteins with no tripe. If he still throws up after that, switch to a dehydrated raw product like Honest Kitchen, since your dog will be less likely to throw up on those.
