Wanting a second little lady - Who's got two girls?

My 2 y/o Waffle is a sweet and gentle girl. She is spayed. We live in a small community and she loves all the dogs and plays well with them. She is more submissive and not at all jealous or territorial. I feel like it's a good time to get her a playmate but would rather an adult female around her age and size instead of a puppy.
Has anyone successfully socialized two young adult frenchie females? I am looking at one who is not yet spayed. Would that be a problem?

Two females could be an issue, but it REALLY all depends on your leadership abilities in them realizing you are boss and understand. I've always had two males, for a few years we had male/female and they all worked out great,. Our female was an alpha bitch on wheels so we had to train her constantly and keep her in line or she would not be a "good girl"
