I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Phil, and my fiancée and recently adopted a beautiful little brindle female frenchie that we decided to call Rosie.

I'm joining this site to learn to be a better owner, by getting as much information as possible about her and the breed.

Since I am posting this on the first day where we brought Rosie home, I am still in the process of getting her checked out by my vet and establishing a routine for her, so it's all very exciting, and I am quite nervous at the same time since this is my first dog. I grew up around shelties, so frenchies are very foreign to me, and it's hard to figure out what is a normal sound and what is not a normal sound lol! Let's just say I'll feel better tomorrow once we visit the vet I trust!

Anyways, I look forward to becoming an active member of this community!

Phil

Btw, this is Rosie. She says hi!

Welcome Phil and Rosie, she is a cutie for sure. They do make some funny noises and grunts. Frenchies are a fun loving dog and loves attention.

Hi and welcome. There are a lot of very friendly and knowledgable people here always willing to help. Your little Rosie looks like a sweetheart. :)

What a cutie!

:welcome3: to FBN .....

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Rosie has a visit with the vet tonight, who knows bulldogs really, really well. We are going to have her checked over and get more information about how to care for her. We had already met a lot of breeders and been to several CKC dog shows (we are in the Canadian national capital region), but I'm looking forward to her meeting her vet!

Thanks again!

Phil

:welcome: to you and Rosie. She looks like a sweetheart. Good luck at the vet and I hope she gets a clean bill of health!

Welcome to you and Rosie! We look forward to sharing your experience!!

Thanks everyone!

We are back from the vet, and Rosie has a clean bill of health! Her nostrils are a bit narrow, and can create a tiny whistling sound (if anybody here has had that same experience, let me know), but the vet says that when that occurs, they usually outgrow it or the nostrils can be adjusted when she is fixed. Aside from that she is a very healthy, happy little girl!

Thank you again for the welcome!

Hi Phil and Rosie! What a cutie!!! Yes, I remember taking off the the emergency vet at about 4AM because I thought Gidget didn't 'sound right' at about 3 months old. She was fine. I felt kinda silly, but in the long run I'd rather be safe than sorry!
